The experience

A séance, a missing medium, and one very wrong house

1926. A spirit medium vanished mid-séance in this house, and the family boarded it up the same week. Your team is the research crew sent in to document what's left — and about fifteen minutes in, you stop believing the 'documenting' part. Low light, period-correct furniture, and sound design we spent two months tuning.

This is the only room with a live performer. She never touches you — the rules are read twice — but she will be closer than you'd like. Escape rate: 31%. Chicken rate: higher than we'll admit.

  • A live actor — choreographed, never touching, always unnerving.
  • Puzzles built for shaking hands: nothing requires precision you won't have.
  • Safe-word exit at any time, no judgement, no extra charge.

Scared mid-game? Step out any time — the safe word is 'daylight'. Re-enter or wait in the lounge; nobody's keeping score except us, quietly.

How it works

Your session, step by step

Horror runs differently — longer briefing, stricter rules. Plan 90 minutes total.

Step 01

Book an evening slot

Actor sessions run 17:00–23:00. Daytime bookings get the no-actor version — still spooky, minus the company.

Step 02

Arrive and read the rules

Two rules sheets, signed. Short version: you don't touch the performer, she doesn't touch you.

Step 03

The séance briefing

Ten minutes of story in the parlour. Learn the safe word — 'daylight' — before the candles go on.

Step 04

Sixty minutes inside

Three rooms, escalating. Puzzles are genuinely solvable under stress — we tested on our most nervous friends.

Step 05

Exit and breathe

Lights up, actor bows, everyone's suddenly brave again. The debrief is funnier than the game was scary.

Step 06

Compare notes

Your game master tells you what the performer was doing while you weren't looking. It's worse than you think.

Your game master

The actor is a professional. The fear is not.

Our performer rotates between two actors — both theatre-trained, both meticulous about the no-touch line. Behind the camera, your game master runs light and sound cues like a stage manager, because that's what it is.

The humans behind the hauntings are on the about page.

FAQ

Horror Room — quick answers

Something we didn't cover? Message us through the contact page — we answer fast.

It's atmospheric scary, not gore scary. Low light, sounds you can't place, a person who is sometimes there. If you handle horror movies fine, you'll handle this — with worse jokes afterwards.

Never. It's in the rules twice — for her and for you. She gets close, she gets weird, she does not touch. Anyone who breaks the rule on the team side ends their own session.

Yes — say 'daylight' or just walk to the door. About 14% of sessions have someone step out; most re-enter within five minutes once their heart slows down.

The theme (disappearance, séances) plus the live actor lands too heavy for kids. If your teen group is 15–16, parents decide — we suggest the family room instead.
